I have a message for
you, his words seems to echo.
The sun was still
scorching hot.
I was still numb.
The man still towered
above me.
I tried to get a good
look at him. He looked like a very successful executive. His Berluti shoes
glistened like whoever shinned them wanted to see his face on them. Hanging
smugly on his left hand was an Audemars Piguet. Even if I was in a coma, I
could still tell his suit was Tom Ford. The peak lapels, the fit and the mad
quality. I squinted to get a good look at his face. A sharp ray of light
bounced off the gold medusa at the edge of his glasses. Yes, his frames were
Versace.
Now, what did he want?
Then he stooped. I was
right. The frames were Versace.
This accident was not
an accident.
A chill crawled up my
spine. Could he just cut the talk and help me already?
The enemy did not mean
to hurt you. He meant to kill you. What happened here is just a tip of the
iceberg of his plan. Now the chill wasn’t crawling up and down my spine
anymore. My entire spine was frozen.
You play a crucial role
in the scheme of things. If he knew what we planned for you, he would have
killed you long time ago. You were born for such a time as this. Everything you
have been through was designed to prepare you for where you are going to. Your
trials, your pains, your past. Your assignment is crucial to the sustenance of
your family. Your nation depends on you. There is a shift in the spirit. It is
time for you to take your place.
The Lord is with you.
He rose.
He pulled the glasses
off his face and I watched them vanish in puff of smoke. His eyes shone with
the fierce intensity of the sun. my body began to quake. I watched quietly as
two massive wings tore through his Tom Ford suit. His body began to glow. The
radiance was blinding.
He balled his right
hand into a fist as he kept his gaze on me.
Go in this might. We
will be with you. As he raised his head, he added, “My name is Gabriel”.
With that, he flapped
his powerful wings and shot through the sky.
I remained transfixed.
Gabriel?
The Gabriel?
I tried to get to my
feet but my body was still immobile, ignoring the get up command from my brain.
If God sent him, why
didn’t he heal me? Why didn’t he help me back on my feet? Why did he leave me
like this?
As my mind raced
through what just happened, I felt something crawl up my legs. I still couldn’t
move. It moved up to my chest and stopped. My heart skipped two beats. Staring
into my eyes was the scariest sight I had ever seen. Gawking at me with its
body wrapped around mine was a boa
constrictor. It’s menacing eyes fastened onto mine as it held it’s unwavering
gaze.
Good Lord,, who did I
offend.
To be
continued on next part………
