SOMETHING, SOMEWHERE------part 4 (Fiction)”

Andrey look through the windows, his eyes watery.

He sniffed and tried hard to  stifle the sob building up from deep within. Shaking his head, he turned around to look at the home God had given him. His mother in law sat in the couch quite and in deep reflection.

His mother was in the room.

And so was his wife. And his daughter.

It was too good to be true.

Just over a week ago, his life was falling to pieces. He had lost his job and almost lost his wife too. He had lost hope but just had to trust God. Now see what God had done.

His mother walked into the Living room carrying her grandchild and smiling like she won the lottery. Behind her was his wife. It still seemed like a movie. One minute, he thought he had lost her and the baby. The next minute, she was delivered of the bundle of Joy and was in good health. He walked up tp them and wrapped them in one huge bear hug. His mother in-law joined them. There were no words, but their eyes told stories only they could understand.
God is faithful, his mother in-law began.

Yes, he is. He is, Andrey responded.

They locked hands and began to sing different worship songs thanking God for watching over them. They hadn’t sung for five minutes when Andrey phone beeped. He ignored it but his wife nudged him to receive the call. It was katrine.

Hey, Andrey!! She was as lively as always.

Katrine, thank you so much for everything.

You would have done a lot more for me if I were in your shoes, and you in mine. I am at your door. And you have a visitor.

Andrey hurried to the door to open it. Before him stood Katrine and another gentleman.

Hello, Mr Andrey, the man spoke up. I am Mr. Henry Rodriguez.

Andrey was unsure whether to invite the man in or not.

You remember Prof. Sharon Akintola? Katrine asked.

Yes. Of course, I do. What about her?

I am her attorney. She passed on last night.

Oh, I am so sorry! Please come in. Andrey was bothered.

I have several stops to make, sir, so I won’t be able to come in. he reached for his call card and handed it over to Andrey. She only prepared her will two days ago. You are the sole beneficiary of her entire Estate.

Andrey almost doubles over.

Congratulations, Mr Andrey. Do give me a call as soon as you can. Have a fantastic day. With that, Mr Rodriguze turned and walked away.

Andrey stood dumbfounded. He did not know what to make of the imcident that just happened. Ana grabbed him by the shoulders in excitement.

You don’t know what just happened! Katrine was letrally jumping and screaming. Do you know Prof Sharon at all?
Andrey was quiet.

Do you guys KNOW madam Sharon?

Katrine pounded on her tablet and pointed out a webpage at the astounded couple. The headline screamed, Thrifty Billionaire and Buisness mogul, Sharon Akintola, passes on.

I other words, you guys are billionaire! An ecstatic Katrine jumped and screamed.

Anfrey hugged his wife as the tears rolled down their faces.

Barely a week ago, he had lost his job. Barely a week ago, all hell had been let loose on him. He didn’t realize that while the enemy was plotting evil, God was behind the curtain orchestrating things for his good. He marveled at how God honoured his show of gratitude. He marveled at what could have happened if he had complained instead. While things were going south, God was busy working out a glorious plan.

God always has a better plan. Like always, but still in a daze, the family got on their knees and gave thanks to God.

The End………
